Blue Moon Fabrics began as a single brick-and-mortar shop in the heart of the Los Angeles Fashion District, founded on one promise: to deliver the finest fabrics at fair prices, backed by genuine care for every customer. More than twenty years later, that promise still drives everything we do.
Over the years, we made a deliberate choice — to specialize. Rather than carry everything, we focused on what we love most and understand best: stretch fabrics. Today Blue Moon Fabrics is a dedicated destination for 4-way stretch nylon spandex, power mesh, foiled spandex, scuba knit, and couture textiles, with a growing catalog of over 1,300 fabrics for swimwear, activewear, dancewear, cosplay, and evening wear.
What started small has grown into a space three times its original size and a tight-knit team who share a real passion for the craft — while never losing the personal, customer-first service that built our name.

David Rabani has spent more than 25 years in the fabric industry — a dreamer and a go-getter who built Blue Moon Fabrics from the ground up. From the very beginning, his focus was quality and the promise to always ensure his customers' satisfaction.
Under his leadership, Blue Moon Fabrics grew from a small storefront into a globally recognized supplier of stretch textiles, while keeping the culture he founded it on: understanding every customer's need and creating an unforgettable experience. “We wanted to provide more than just fabric” is the philosophy that still guides the company today.
