Blue Moon Fabrics’ Foiled Velvet collection contains stretch velvet fabrics with all-over foil, holographic finishes and patterned foil prints. Selected styles are listed for formalwear, dancewear, cosplay and performance costumes. Illusion Anaconda Foil Printed Stretch Velvet combines a snakeskin-inspired pattern with iridescent foil, while Legacy Foiled Stretch Velvet offers a holographic foil finish on a 4-way stretch velvet base.
Match stretch and weight to your design
D Isis Foiled Stretch Velvet is described as 2-way stretch, while Gilded Stretch Velvet is listed with 4-way stretch. These fabrics therefore need different consideration when matching a fitted pattern. Legacy is listed as 86% nylon and 14% spandex, 292 gsm, with a 56-inch usable width; those specifications apply to that style only. Compare each selected fabric’s construction, stretch, width and care instructions, and check foil appearance and velvet direction when laying out garment panels.
